Punctuality & Absence

The school gates open at 8.30 a.m, ready for the school day to start at 8:45am. It is extremely important to establish a routine which ensures the children settle into a secure and happy classroom environment. Part of this includes being present for the start of our day together at 8.45 a.m.

The school gate is locked at 8.45 a.m. and if, for any reason, you are late in the morning, please bring your child to the school office so that they may be marked in the register. Parents should be aware that continued lateness may result in the Education Welfare Officer being involved. If your child has a school dinner, and you know you are going to arrive at school late, please telephone us in advance so that the kitchen can be made aware that he or she needs to be catered for.

  8.30am Gates open for all children

  8.45am Registration – school starts

  3.10pm End of the day for KS1

  3.15pm End of the day for KS2

  KS1 Total time open: 32 hours 5 minutes

  KS2 Total time open: 32 hours 30 minutes

  Breakfast Club commences at 7:45am

Please advise your child’s teacher of dental, medical or hospital appointments by letter, in advance.
